Rules and Regulations

1 - All animation, fiction and documentary short films (with running time up to 20 minutes) can register in the Festival ArtDeco de Cinema according to category and rules specified below. There is no restriction on the date of production.

2 - On line registration. 

3 - No film will be either discriminated or favored by their production economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.

4 - The films will be received in its original language. Portuguese, or Spanish, or English subtitles are required if its language is other than Portuguese.

5 - For selection purposes, films may be uploaded by Internet. It can be on Vimeo, Youtube or similar. Or a DVD can be sent by regular mail to our office in São Paulo, Brazil and remittance must be paid by submitters.

6 - If selected, it will be required to the participant, one DVD copy that must be sent to our office in São Paulo, Brazil. Note international DVD mails are subject to Brazilian charges, these charges must be pre-paid by sender in the country of origin. All Deadlines will be informed.

8 - In case of another screening format than DVD, is needed for exhibition purpose, we will contact the participant to require that, in advance.

9 - The Festival will award films according to genre category. There isn't any money or other kind of reward.

10 - The Awards will be announced and given during our closing ceremony. In case of the absense of a representative of the film awarded in the ceremony,  a digital winner certificate will be sent by email to its producer. No trophy will be sent by mail.

11 - The Festival does not cover any travel expence for its participants or nominated.

12 - The registration is free of charge. Each director/producer can register unlimited number of films.

13 - The DVDs sent will be kept by the commission of the film festival and it will give us the right to exhibit them  during movie sessions promoted by Cineclube ArtDeco de Cinema.

14 - The late deadline for registration is April 23rd, 2012. The same date will be the deadline for posting the DVDs by mail.

15 - Participation in the 4th Festival ArtDeco de Cinema implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.
